LEGACY

The goal of life isn’t to live on earth forever but to leave something that does.
God has gifted everyone with purpose. For some, Legacy is the ministry where purpose will be found. Legacy ministry accelerates and expands the reach of the gospel through LIFE Church. Legacy is a ministry for those who believe they have the spiritual gift of giving.

SPIRITUAL GIFT OF GIVING

Everyone is called to pray for people to be healed.  The Bible states that believers lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.  Yet 1 Corinthians 12 states that some people have the gift of healing and that is decided by the Spirit of God.

The same is true for giving.  Everyone is called to give and should tithe and give of their resources to further the reach of their local church and the kingdom of God, but some people have the gift of giving.

Romans 12:8 NIV
If it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

If you have the spiritual gift of giving, you have the Spirit-given capacity and desire to serve God by giving of your material resources, far beyond the tithe, to further the work of God.

LEGACY TEAM

Legacy people give influence, resources and time as a local church ministry expression to advance the cause of Christ. Each member prayerfully commits to give over and above their tithe to impact eternity for generations to come—to leave a legacy.

Members of the Legacy Team are committed to:

  • Being a member of LIFE Church.
  • Completing the steps of the Discover Experience and making LIFE Church their home church.
  • Giving over and above their tithe to the Legacy offering.
  • Attending Legacy gatherings whenever possible.
  • Having the spiritual gift of giving (Romans 12:4-8)
  • Viewing giving as an act of worship unto the Lord.
  • Using their resources, influence and/or time to make a difference through the local church.

2 Corinthians 9:7
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
