CITY OF WALLA WALLA

The City of Walla Walla seeks to help the city continue to grow and change for the betterment of its community and the enjoyment of its citizens, visitors, and patrons.

YWCA

YWCA Walla Walla is on a mission to enrich the lives of women and their families. Their signature program is the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Resource Center: a domestic violence shelter, counseling, support groups, advocacy, information and more. They offer quality, licensed childcare programs and a number of community and personal enrichment programs.

CHRISTIAN AID CENTER
CHRISTIAN AID CENTER

The primary mission of the Christian Aid Center is serving Jesus Christ by providing restoration and compassionate love to those in need. They provide meals, emergency shelter, and other needs for Walla Walla’s homeless women and children as well as single men in a safe caring environment.

BETTER TOGETHER
BETTER TOGETHER

Better Together is a non-profit organization with a mission of helping families reduce personal debt through mentorship. Their unique “earn while you learn” program, New Start Initiative (NSI), is designed to help families learn about budgeting, paying down debt, and building a savings account. In exchange, Better Together, through donations, gives families weekly food, gasoline, and any additional items they may need. To date, they have helped 15 families pay off approximately $200,000 in debt and have given $50,000 in goods and services since opening their doors in the spring of 2016.

Helpline serves as the front door to help for poor and homeless individuals and families in Walla Walla County. Their job is to connect people struggling to meet basic needs with the community resources needed to achieve stability.
